Yealand Conyers
Singing Weekend
|
New Songs at the Old School
Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th July 2018 with Kate Thomas & Helen Lyle The Old School, Yealand Conyers, near Carnforth, Lancs. A long holiday weekend in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - come and meet new singing friends, relax in and out of doors and discover some fabulous new songs. We'll be teaching a mixture of some of our favourite styles - in past years this has included American shape-note, Pop and South African gospel amongst others. The weekend will offer both challenge and relaxation in the range of songs we sing. We will be teaching by ear and everyone is welcome. With over thirty-five years combined experience of teaching singing groups, Helen and Kate are known for their relaxed, accessible style. They teach a range of groups and workshops, including Sheffield’s ‘Purple Cats’ choir. |

The simple hostel lies just west of the M6 at the southern end of the Lake District. Morecambe Bay, Silverdale and Leighton Moss Bird Reserve are all within walking distance and there will be time to enjoy these and other local attractions together.
